A snowy book I’m from Australia, and have only seen snow a few times in my life but have always loved the concept. This Winter (in Southern Hemisphere that’s June to August), I was supposed to go skiing but this has been cancelled for obvious reasons. Stopping By Woods On A Snowy Evening is Susan Jeffers' illustrated book of the Robert Frost poem. It is a beautifully illustrated book which can be enjoyed by the parent as a child sits snugly on their lap.I think it is a book that shows a great deal of respect.5/5(5).

Children's Literature, Picture Book. This one is pretty straightforward. Even though The Snowy Day makes for an enjoyable read regardless of how old you are, it's clearly a picture book (as evidenced by the pictures on every. single. page.), and it's clearly children's literature. How do we know? The main character is a young boy, and the storyline is simple and linear. Snowy loves Jesus and listening to Farmer Angus praying and reading his Bible every day. The two of them are best buddies and enjoy working together on the farm. Snowy shares farm stories that kids can relate to and learn lessons from, such as the time Snowy decided to be friendly to Big Stuff, a very grumpy and angry horse.
